Addiction Recovery Programming at Restoration Ministries

Established in 1988, Restoration Ministries began as an organization that helped individuals overcome their drug addiction. Over the years, the ministry has continued this mission by establishing ongoing addiction recovery programming aimed at both men and women. Their endeavors are grounded in the Christian faith, using its doctrines to promote healing and rehabilitation among participants.

Restoration Ministries initiated its addiction recovery programming with the Harvey House School of Ministry, which began serving the community out of a refurbished motel. Over the years, this program has grown substantially in helping men grow in their faith and turn their lives around. Over the course of 12-18 months, men participate in counseling sessions, bible study, and work opportunities. Each of these elements come together to provide participants with the foundation that they need to overcome their addiction and become more productive individuals.

Tabitha House for Women is Restoration Ministries’ residential program for women who are looking to tackle their alcohol and drug addictions. Similar to the initiative at Harvey House, it calls upon Christian beliefs to facilitate healing and change in the lives of its residents. Women receive the opportunity to participate in job training and pursue their education.
