Retriever Merchant Solutions is a payment-processing company that leverages the latest technological advancements to help businesses enhance their point-of-sale operations. The leadership at Retriever Merchant Solutions also supports numerous charitable initiatives, including the annual Chasing Cans for Cancer fundraising event.  Established in 2011, Chasing Cans for Cancer emerged after the Berger family lost a close friend to ovarian cancer. In its first year, the fundraiser took in donations for a Chicago-area hairstylist who was battling the same form of cancer. Chasing Cans has since expanded to raise money for individuals who are living with various forms of cancer, providing the funds they need to make ends meet during treatment.  Now a 501(c)(3) organization, Chasing Cans celebrated its 2018 event in September in Beecher, Illinois.
